From Old Assamese নভৈলে (nobhoile), which is ন- (no-, “not”) + ভ (bho, “be, happen”) + -ইলে (-ile, “conditional participle”). In Assamese it can be broken as ন (no) + হ (ho) + -ইলে (-ile).
