     na az xâri čonân begzâšt u-râ, na-dârad kas čonân farzand-râ xâr, valikân xâst tâ šâhân be-dânand, ke u bikas honar ârad padidâr.

     He did not leave him [behind] thus out of contempt, for no one holds such a son in contempt. Rather, he wished that kings might know that he, without [anybody's] help, would make his skill apparent.
