- pam- -an – before root initials /b/ and /p/, will sometimes remove initial /b/ and /p/

- alternative form of pang- -an for roots with initials /d/, /s/ and /t/, which will usually have them removed

- pan- -an + sandali (“a moment”) = panandalian (“short-term”)
- pan- -an + sagot (“response”) = pananagutan (“responsility”)
Usage notes
- Normally, /h/ is inserted before -an when the root word ends with a vowel that is not followed by a glottal stop. In some cases, phoneme change can occur and /h/ becomes /n/.
- tira + pan- -an → panirahan
- talo + pan- -an → panaluhan
- talo + pan- -an → panalunan
