Etymology
From the multimedia fiction work Homestuck, reportedly coined from the Ancient Greek μοῖρᾰ (moîra, “lot, destiny”). In the canon of the series, moraillegience is one of four "quadrants" within the complex romance system of the alien troll species, described as being similar to the "concept of a soul mate, but in a more platonic sense, and with a more specific social purpose."[1][2]
