Simplified from the man'yōgana 延.[1] First used in the Meiji period.
Syllable
𛄡 (romaji ye)
- (obsolete) The katakana syllable 𛄡 (ye), used in representations of Japanese as it was spoken prior to the 10th-century e ↔ ye merger. Its equivalent in hiragana is 𛀁 (ye).
