Representing an oxyrhynchus fish (Mormyrus kannume). The distinctive long snout separates it from other fish hieroglyphs. The phonogrammatic value of ẖꜣ is derived by the rebus principle from its use as a logogram for ẖꜣt (“oxyrhynchus”).
