Usage notes

This number is a noun; as such, the entities being counted are in the genitive case.

Due to the existence of another, shorter word 𐌷𐌿𐌽𐌳 (hund) meaning the same, this word was probably used to specify that the decimal "short" hundred (100) was meant as opposed to the duodecimal "long" hundred (120), that would otherwise have been indicated by the term 𐌷𐌿𐌽𐌳 (hund). This is supported by the fact that in Corinthians I, 15.6, the word 𐍄𐌰𐌹𐌷𐌿𐌽𐍄𐌴𐍅𐌾𐌰𐌼 (taihuntēwjam, [reckoned] by decimals) (dat. pl.) is added as a note to indicate that the reading of 𐍆𐌹𐌼𐍆 𐌷𐌿𐌽𐌳𐌰 (fimf hunda, five hundred) there is that of short (decimal) hundreds, not long hundreds.
