- A suffix in the "plain" speech level, ubiquitous in literature but less common nowadays in Seoul speech:
- The present-tense declarative suffix.
- 요리사가 잡채를 접시에 담는다.
- yorisa-ga japchae-reul jeopsi-e damneunda.
- The cook is putting japchae on a plate.
- 영화를 보러 간다.
- Yeonghwa-reul boreo ganda.
- I go watch a movie.
- A monologic interrogative suffix; usually used with interrogative words.
