Etymology
From punning on 放射能 (hōshanō, “radioactivity”), replacing 能 (nō, “ability”) with 脳 (nō, “brain”). Its suffix 脳 may be influenced of ゲーム脳 (gēmu nō, “game brain”). Coined during Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in 2011.
