   • 通 (つう)話 (わ)時 (じ)や留 (る)守 (す)録 (ろく)再 (さい)生 (せい)時 (じ)など受話口 (じゅわぐち)に耳 (みみ)をあてて聞 (き)くとき以外 (いがい)は、耳 (みみ)を受話口 (じゅわぐち)に近 (ちか)づけないでください。

     Tsūwa-ji ya rusuroku saisei-ji nado juwaguchi ni mimi o atete kiku toki igai wa, mimi o juwaguchi ni chikazukenaidekudasai.

     Except when putting your ear close to the earpiece speaker in order to hear when holding phone calls or playing back voicemail, please do not put your ear near to the earpiece speaker.

     受話口 (じゅわぐち)に耳 (みみ)を当 (あ)てると、通 (つう)話 (わ)中 (ちゅう)を知 (し)らせる音 (おと)が聞 (き)こえた。

     Juwaguchi ni mimi o ateru to, tsūwa-chū o shiraseru oto ga kikoeta.

     Placing his ear close to the earpiece speaker, he heard the sounds that let him know that he was in a call.
