1. inventory, the stock of all goods on hand
   • 1957, Japan Atomic Energy Congress, Genryoku nenkan [Atomic power yearbook]‎, page 109:

     ここで燃料 (ねんりょう)の取 (と)り扱 (あつか)いかたをまず考 (かんが)えてみると、元来 (がんらい)、原子力 (げんしりょく)発電所 (はつでんしょ)は燃料 (ねんりょう)の貯蔵 (ちょぞう)部分 (ぶぶん)が非常 (ひじょう)に多 (おお)く、これをインベントリーといっている。

     Koko de nenryō no tori atsukai kata o mazu kangaete-miru to, ganrai, genshiryoku hatsudensho wa nenryō no chozō bubun ga hijō ni ōku, kore o inbentorī to itte-iru.

     Here, in thinking about how to handle fuel, first, we note that a nuclear power plant's store of fuel is unusually large, and it is called inventory.
