Etymology
From Old Persian *Utauθa (literally “well trickling, well granting”)[1] or *ʰUtauθa- (literally “bestowing very richly”)[2], from *hu- (“good”) + *tauθa- (“bestowing richly”). Cognate with Avestan 𐬵𐬎𐬙𐬀𐬊𐬯𐬁 (Hutaosā).
