Neuter substantive of ἀσῠ́νδετος (asúndetos, “unconnected, loose”), from ἀ- (a-, “not”) + σῠ́νδετος (súndetos, “bound hand and foot; united”), from συνδέω (sundéō, “bind together”), from σῠν- (sun-, “together”) + δέω (déō, “bind”).
