  • As with many compound names attested in the early Runic period, is unclear whether this is a title or a given name.
  • The first rune ᛟ has by some authors been read as a "Begriffsrune" for *ōþalą (inheritance, property), in which case the runes should be read "ᛟ ᚹᛚᚦᚢᚦᛖᚹᚨᛉ", "property of Wulþuþewaz". If this were the case however, one would expect the name to be in the genitive.
