     ወዕሪተ ፡ ኲነኔ ፡ ገብር ፡ ምስለ ፡ እግዚኡ ፡ ተቀሢፎ ፡ ወዘጽጒሂ ፡ ይትዔረይ ፡ ምስለ ፡ መንግሥት ፡ የሐምም ።

     wäʿritä kʷinäne gäbr məslä ʾəgziʾu täḳäśifo wäzäṣgʷihi yətʿeräy məslä mängəśt yäḥämm .

     But the discordant cry of the enemies echoed back, and a pitiful voice of lamentation for children was spread abroad.
