     Section 326 [When] anyone, in the presence of a third person, asserts a fact related to another person in such a manner likely to cause that other person to lose his reputation, to be insulted, or to be detested, that one commits an offence of defamation and shall be liable to imprisonment for not more than one year, or a fine of not exceeding ten thousand baht, or both.
