ചില്ലക്ഷരം • (cillakṣaraṃ)
- Stop consonant. A Malayalam consonant letter without an inherent vowel. A special consonant letter that represents a pure consonant independently, without the help of a virama.
- Presently there are five in use ൾ, ൽ, ൻ, ർ and ൺ. The archaic ones are ൿ, ൕ, ൖ and ൔ.
