Usage notes
- Although গামোচা (gamüsa) literally means "body wiper", its usage in Assamese culture is not only like a towel but it's also a way of honoring. It's an important element of many festivals of Assam, including Bihu. It's used by all Assamese people, irrespective of their wealth, faith and ethnic background.
