Inherited from Sanskrit क्षप्यते (kṣapyate). Cognate with Gujarati ખપવું (khapvũ), Hindi खपना (khapnā), Sindhi کَپَڻُ / खपणु (khapaṇu), Punjabi ਖਪਣਾ (khapṇā) / کھپنا (khpnā).
