Cognate with Arabic يَتِيم (yatīm), Aramaic יַתְמָא (yaṯmā), Phoenician 𐤉𐤕𐤌 (ytm), Classical Mandaic ࡉࡀࡕࡉࡌࡀ (yatima), Hebrew יָתוֹם (yatóm), Tigre ያፓም (yattam), and Ugaritic 𐎊𐎚𐎎 (ytm).
