The plural عواميد (ʿawāmīd) is not attested in Modern Standard Arabic but it's based on the patter "fāʿūl" (as in ماعون (māʿūn) > مواعين (mawāʿīn)) since Hijazi lengthened the first vowel, compare خاروف (ḵārūf).
