From دول (dol, dawl, “revolving”), borrowed from Arabic د و ر (d-w-r, “circling”), + بند (band, “band, tie”),[1] compare دوربند (dorband, “band, belt”). Cognate with Northern Kurdish dorbend (“frame”).
