- Used with وَ (wa) followed by a word referring to God, to make an oath that expresses agreement.

- وَيَسْتَنْبِئُونَكَ أَحَقٌّ هُوَ قُلْ إِي وَرَبِّي إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ وَمَا أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ
- wayastanbiʾūnaka ʾaḥaqqun huwa qul ʾī warabbī ʾinnahu laḥaqqun wamā ʾantum bimuʿjizīna
- And they ask thee to inform them: "Is it true?" Say: "Yes, by my Lord, verily it is true, and ye cannot escape."
