     ‏وقسمت الارض المعمورة على اربعة اقسام فمنها أروفى وفيها الاندلس والصقالب والروم وفرنجة وطنجة والى حد مصر ولوبية وفيها مصر والقلزم والحبشة والبربر وما والاها والبحر الجنوبي و ليس في هذه البلاد خنزير بري ولا عير ولا تيوس واتيوفيا وفيها تهامة واليمن والسند والهند والصين واسقوتيا وفيها ارمينية وخراسان والترك والخزر.‎‎

     The inhabited world was divided into four divisions. Among them is Europe and within it is Al-Andalus, the Slavs, Rome, France, and Tangiers. Another division extends until Egypt and Lybia, and it includes Egypt, Clysma, Abyssinia, the Berber and what rules them, and the Southern Sea. In these countries there isn't a single wild boar, a donkey, or a goat. Also there is ityūfiya, which includes Tihamah, Yemen, Sindh, India, and China. And asqūtiya, which includes Armenia, Khorasan, the Turks, and the Khazars.
