1. (And) (she/it) placed: third-person feminine singular vav-consecutive imperfect (hence past tense) of שָׂם‎ (sam).
   • Exodus 2:3, with translation of the King James Version:

     וַתָּשֶׂם בָּהּ אֶת הַיֶּלֶד וַתָּשֶׂם בַּסּוּף עַל שְׂפַת הַיְאֹר

     and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink
