וַיֵּצֵא • (vayetsé)

1. (And) (he/it) exited, left: third-person masculine singular vav-consecutive imperfect (hence past tense) of יָצָא‎ (yatsá).
   • Exodus 2:11, with translation of the English Standard Version:

     וַיֵּצֵא אֶל אֶחָיו וַיַּרְא בְּסִבְלֹתָם

     vayetsé el echáv vayár b'sivlotám

     he went out to his people and looked on their burdens

2. (And) (he/it) will exit, leave: third-person masculine singular vav-consecutive perfect (hence future tense) of יָצָא‎ (yatsá).
   • Isaiah 11:1, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:

     ‏וְיָצָא חֹטֶר מִגֵּזַע יִשָׁי וְנֵצֶר מִשָּׁרָשָׁיו יִפְרֶה׃‎‎

     v'yatsá khóter mizéga' yishái v'nétser mishorasháv yifré.

     And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, and a twig shall grow forth out of his roots.
