1. Third-person masculine singular vav-consecutive imperfect (hence past tense) of פָּגַשׁ‎ (pagásh), with a third-person masculine singular pronoun suffixed as direct object.
   • Exodus 4:24, with translation of the American Standard Version:

     וַיְהִי בַדֶּרֶךְ בַּמָּלוֹן וַיִּפְגְּשֵׁהוּ יהוה וַיְבַקֵּשׁ הֲמִיתוֹ

     vay'hí vadérech bamalón vayifg'shéhu YHVH vay'vakésh hamitó

     And it came to pass on the way at the lodging-place, that Jehovah met him, and sought to kill him.
