וְהִכֵּיתִי • (v'hikéti)

1. First-person singular vav-consecutive perfect (hence future tense) of הִכָּה‎ (hiká).
   • Exodus 3:20, with translation of the American Standard Version:

     וְשָׁלַחְתִּי אֶת יָדִי וְהִכֵּיתִי אֶת מִצְרַיִם

     v'shalachtí ét yadí v'hiketí ét mitsráyim

     And I will put forth my hand, and smite Egypt

   • 1 Samuel 23:2, with translation of the King James Version:

     הַאֵלֵךְ וְהִכֵּיתִי בַּפְּלִשְׁתִּים הָאֵלֶּה

     haeléch v'hikéti bap'lishtím haéle

     Shall I go and smite these Philistines?
