2. (archaic) to decapitate
   • a. 217 C.E., Mishnah, Chullin 2:3:

     ‏הִתִּיז אֶת הָרֹאשׁ בְּבַת אַחַת, פְּסוּלָה.‎‎

     [If] one decapitated the head in one blow, it is invalid.
