1. Phamenoth (the seventh month of the Ancient Egyptian calendar)

     Է թռչուն ինչ ի հնդիկս, որ կոչի փիւնիքս։ Ըստ հինգհարիւր ամին գայ ի ծառսն Լիբանանու եւ լնու զերկոսին թեւսն իւր խնկաւք. եւ երթայ ազդ առնէ քրմին Արեգ քաղաքի ի յամսեան պայեմոդի (var. պարեմոդի, պահեմորդի, պեմենովթ, փասնուտ, փասնուդ) կամ ի փարմոդի, այսինքն արեգ կամ ի կանխոց։

     Ē tʿṙčʿun inčʿ i hndiks, or kočʿi pʿiwnikʿs. Əst hinghariwr amin gay i caṙsn Libananu ew lnu zerkosin tʿewsn iwr xnkawkʿ. ew ertʿay azd aṙnē kʿrmin Areg kʿałakʿi i yamsean payemodi (var. paremodi, pahemordi, pemenovtʿ, pʿasnut, pʿasnud) kam i pʿarmodi, aysinkʿn areg kam i kanxocʿ.

       There is a bird in India called phoenix. Every five hundred years it comes to the trees of Lebanon and fills both its wings with incense, and goes to inform the priest of Heliopolis, in the month Phamenoth or Pharmuthi, that is Areg or the preceding months [i.e. Meheki].
