Old Armenian

Etymology

Borrowed from the Hurro-Urartian source underlying Akkadian 𒉡𒍑𒄷 (nu-uš-ḫu /nušḫu/, probably almond), wherein -ḫu reflects a Hurrian suffix also seen in Akkadian 𒌑𒀭𒈾𒉌𒄷 (/ananīḫu/), Old Armenian անանուխ (ananux).[1][2]
