մողէզ
Old Armenian
Etymology
The origin is unknown. Ačaṙyan compares to Persian مالوس (mālūs, “a green lizard”) and derives from Iranian. The ending is similar to the ending of Middle Armenian խլեզ (xlez, “lizard”).
