Old Armenian
Etymology 1
Probably of the same origin as կոր (kor, “crooked, curved”). Alternatively, from Կորճայք (Korčaykʿ), a province of Armenia, whose initial population was non-Armenian and whose speech seemed rough and barbarous to other Armenians.
