泻(瀉) [xiè] 动

1. ■ （很快地流） flow swiftly; rush down; pour out:

大江奔腾， 一泻千里。 The (Changjiang) River rolls and roars on and on for a thousand li.

水从楼梯上泻下来。 The water poured down the stairs.

月光透过窗户泻入室内。 The moonlight poured in through the windows.

2. ■ （腹泻） have loose bowels; have diarrhoea:
