From Proto-Turkic *od-gan- (“to wake up”), reflexive/passive of Proto-Turkic *od-.[1].Cognate with Kazakh ояну (oänu), Kyrgyz ойгон- (oygon-), Uzbek uygʻonmoq, Turkish uyanmak (“to wake up”).
