- (transitive) To cause something to adopt bedouin characteristics.
- (historical) In the Islamic Middle East, to cause agricultural or urban land to become bedouin-inhabited grazing land.
- (linguistics) To cause an Arabic dialect to adopt features traditionally typical of those dialects spoken by the bedouins.
