1. ■ （困倦时张口出气） yawn:

2. ■ （身体一部分稍微向上移动） raise slightly (a part of the body):

欠脚儿 slightly raise one's heels;

他欠了欠身子又继续工作。 He rose slightly and then sat down to work again.

3. ■ （没有还; 没有给） owe; be behind with:

欠租 be behind with the rent;

我不欠他什么。 I owe him nothing.

他买那辆车还欠着近一百英镑的债。 He still owes nearly a hundred pounds on that car.

4. ■ （不够; 缺少） short of; not enough; lacking; wanting:

说话欠考虑 speak without due consideration;

欠三天就是一个月了。 It's three days short of a month.

文字欠通。 The writing is not altogether grammatical.

这一屉馒头欠火。 These buns haven's been steamed long enough.
