晒(曬) [shài] 动

1. ■ （太阳光照射到物体上） (of the sun) shine upon:

日晒雨淋 be exposed to the sun and rain;

阳光晒得窗帘褪了色。 The sun has faded the curtains.

这里晒得慌。 There's too much sun here.

2. ■ （在阳光下吸收光和热） dry in the sun; bask; bathe:

晒被子 air a quilt;

晒粮食 dry grain in the sun;

猫爱晒太阳。 The cat likes to sit in the sun.

他的脸晒黑了。 His face is tanned.

我们在阳光充足的海滩上晒太阳。 We basked ourselves on the sunny beach.
