搀

搀(攙) [chān] 动

1. ■ （搀扶） help sb. by the arm; support sb. with one's hand:

把老大娘搀进屋 help the old lady into the room;

他搀着她的手臂帮她站起身来。 He helped her up to her feet by holding her arm.

这时候， 一个女孩搀着一位白发苍苍的老太太走了进来。 Just then a white-haired old woman entered， supported by a girl.

2. ■ （把一种东西混合到另一种东西里去） mix; adulterate:

用水搀酒 mix wine with water;

在羊毛中搀棉花 mix cotton into wool;

把这油和漆搀在一起， 好好搅拌。 Mix this oil with the paint and stir well.
