抹 [mǒ] 动

1. ■ （涂抹） smear; apply; put on:

抹浆糊 smear paste;

抹点雪花膏 put on a little vanishing cream;

涂脂抹粉 apply facial make-up;

抹了一鼻子灰 get an awkward rebuff;

面包上抹点奶油 spread some butter on a piece of bread

2. ■ （擦） wipe:

抹眼泪 wipe one's eyes; be weeping;

抹把脸 wipe one's face;

时间把她的形象从他的记忆中抹去了。 Time had wiped her image from his memory.

3. ■ （勾掉; 除去; 不计在内） cross out; strike out; cancel; erase:

抹去录音 erase the recording from a tape;

把数字抹掉 cancel a figure;

把最后那句抹了， 换上这一句。 Cross out that last sentence and put this in instead.
