οὐδός
Ancient Greek
Etymology 1
Unexplained. A basis *ὀδϝός (*odwós) enables connection with οὖδας (oûdas, “ground, soil”), but only if one accepts that this is a generalized Ionic form. In principle both words could be variants of the same Pre-Greek word.
