单词 κύτινος
释义

κύτινος

Ancient Greek

Etymology

Because of the meaning "calyx", the word has been connected with κύτος (kútos, hollow, vessel). However, Furnée compares κύταρον (kútaron, spoon), κύδαρος (kúdaros, small ship), κύτταρος (kúttaros, cell of a honeycomb), κυττοί (kuttoí, receptacles). This points to a Pre-Greek word.
