A compound of εὐρῠ́ς (eurús, “broad”) +‎ κλέος (kléos, “fame”) +‎ -ια (-ia). Compare Ἀντῐ́κλειᾰ (Antíkleia) and Μεγᾰ́κλειᾰ (Megákleia).
