æðnen
Jamtish
Alternative forms
- ænnen
Etymology
From older *annə̃n, accusative of *anner, from Old Norse annarr (acc. annan), from Proto-Germanic *anþeraz. The ð was inserted by analogy from the older (now lost) declensions with -ðr- (instead of -nr-); compare Westrobothnian æænn/annar with older ð-forms like æder.
