Zeldam
Dutch
Etymology
First attested as over den goer zellincdam in 1381-1383. Potentially a compound of Proto-Germanic *salah (“willow, Salix sp.”) and dam, here used in the rare senses of "swamp" and "elevated place". Compare Kulsdom.
