Xuereb
English
Etymology
The earliest references of this family go back to 1517 with Tommeo Xuereb mentioned as "Nobile" or "Noble". There is some indication that the name is of Central European origin, which was imported from the Lebanese-Syrian area. The coat of arms shows two Moors' heads, which could signify that the Xuerebs distinguished themselves when participating in The Crusades.
