夹攻 [jiā gōng]

1. ■ attack from both sides; converging attack; pincer attack; two-way attack:

内外夹攻 attack from within and outside;

前后夹攻 attack from the front and the rear simultaneously;

受到两面夹攻 be under a pincer attack; be caught in a two-way squeeze;

左右夹攻 under the crossfire from left and right;
