    • 1888, The Northwestern Reporter, volume 35, page 507:
      It provides for the sale of four-fifths of certain land, while the mortgagor owned only two-fifths, and the decree was so drawn as to lead to an inference that the intention was that a two-fifths interest belonging to the plaintiff should be sold in connection with the mortgagor's interest.
    • 1890 March 27, The American Stationer, volume 27, page 743:
      If only an emulsion be required, a solution of rubber in benzine or other hydrocarbon, to which a small portion of alcohol has been added, is mixed by vigorous agitation with a two-fifths saturated solution of borax previously heated to about 120° to 140° Fahr., and the agitation must be continued—preferably by mechanical means, but not of too violent a character—until the mixture has cooled down to the temperature of the air, or nearly so.
