Pipil i-uhmiyu (“its fur; its feather”), Classical Nahuatl tōch-ohmitl (“rabbit fur”); Classical Nahuatl tohmitl (“fur”), Northern Puebla Nahuatl tohmitl (“wool”), Tlamacazapa Nahuatl tojmitl (“feather; wool”); Mecayapan Nahuatl tzojmiꞌ (“fur; feather”). The variation in initial consonants is unexplained.
