- Das zeitgenössische Gedicht hat andere Merkmale. Es erscheint oft wie reimlose Prosa, bevorzugt im Druckbild seine besondere optische Erscheinung, es bevorzugt das Wort als schwer zu enträtselnde Chiffre, es setzt die Reihung der Wörter und seine Wiederholung als Stilelement ein. Der prosaähnliche Vers ist aber von einem Atem-Rhythmus geprägt und verzichtet von daher auch oftmals auf die Zeichensetzung.
- The contemporary poem often has different characteristics. It often resembles rhymeless prose, prefers a particular look in print, it prefers the word as a cipher hard to decipher, it employs the rowing of words and its repetition as a means of style. The prose-resembling verse however is characterized by a breath-rhythm und therefore often forgoes punctuation, too
